Elaeagnus ebbingei, this evergreen olive willow is a medium sized shrub with an upright growth and glossy olive green leaves with a silvery underside. In autumn this elaeagnus blooms with fragrant creamy white flowers with silver scales. Edible, orange-red fruit with silver flecks follows in the spring. Elaeagnus ebbingei grows well in any soil and prefers a place in full sun, the plant is strongly sea wind tolerant and can also handle a lot of air pollution.
