Philip & Sonja start on the first 'foundations'. They are taking a first step as growers with small 'trial fields' of Buxus. After some time, this works well and a small plot is rented to grow Buxus. This was the only cultivation at the time. In the early years it was mainly a combination of cultivation and garden maintenance. After a few years, the 'tree nursery' became a full-fledged activity and the secondary activity of landscaping & maintenance completely disappeared. Almost 100% of the Buxus acreage was sold to local wholesalers and garden contractors.

Since 2010 we now also grow the unique plant varieties Ilex Crenata "Dark Green"®* and Ilex Crenata "Green Hedge", also Ilex crenata Stokes, Ilex crenata 'Caroline Upright' ... . These species are much less susceptible to diseases and are extremely suitable for making beautiful hedges and shapes.
What we grow ourselves, we grow from cuttings to mature plants! A unique asset, because it makes it possible to check and manage every phase of the process yourself. As a result, the quality & environmental friendliness of the plants is therefore guaranteed.

Since the spring of 2017, we have also been active in the organic sector, more specifically in strawberry cultivation. Because we are also working on cultivation that is as sustainable as possible at our tree nursery, this did not require major efforts to take the path of 100% organic cultivation.
